BrettYoung Canola is furthering the science and profitability of Canola farming through the development of newer more technologically advanced varieties. To this end, BrettYoung has partnered with one of the world's leading plant breeding companies, Deutsche Saatverelung (DSV) of Germany. The focus of DSV's corporate activities is the development of new plant varieties which is the basis for all other fields of activities.

As a breeder of Canola/Rapeseed for more than 50 years, DSV has extensive expertise in the field of Canola and has developed special germplasm for which BrettYoung has the exclusive rights to for the North American market. This germplasm has shown a number of unique characteristics in terms of significantly improved yield, quality and disease resistance.

BrettYoung and DSV are developing many new varieties and hybrids. Hybrids are one of the keys identified by our breeders for further improving Canola's yield potential. DSV has the right size, attitude and all the right tools to remain a competitive canola breeder in Canada and globally.

Our newest products are high performing Roundup Ready Hybrids available for the first time for planting in spring of 2007. These new hybrids have the yield and agronomic performance to further strengthen Canola as a hybrid crop.
